Colours on the KDL-40W4000 look amazing thanks to a combination of x.v.Colour, Live Colour Creation and the innovate 10-Bit LCD panel. The amazing 10-bit panels developed by Sony for their latest range of LCD TVs can offer 1024 gradiations in colour. Standard 8-bit panels normally used for LCD TVs are capable of only 256 steps of gradation between colours.
The KDL-40W4000 includes Sony’s XrossMediaBar, taking the complexity out of the LCD’s menus. Use the menu bar to view what it connected to your LCD TV and select what you want to watch. There is also a an integrated digital freeview tuner that that receives digital terrestrial TV channels and radio broadcasts. Other great features include BRAVIA Sync, 24p Movie Playback, 3 HDMI connectors and Virutal Surround Sound.
