The TX37LZD800 is Panasonic’s flasgship LCD screen and they really have pulled out all the stops to create a masterpiece. If offers you superb image quality, a very wide viewing angle and outstanding sound all in a sleek and sexy package.

It has cleaner and sharper lines than the LCD models in Panasonic’s LZD80 and LZD85 range and includes the new Clear Panel design which minimises reflections and helps provide a stunning sharp, crisp image.

Many LCD models suffer from ghosting or motion blur during fast moving scenes such as sports or the latest video games. The TX37LZD800 doesn’t suffer from this thanks to Panasonic’s Motion Picture Pro 2 technology. Motion Picture Pro 2 creates 100 frames per second from the 50 frames per second video signal by creating a set of intermediate frames and inserting them between the originals. This doubles the frame count allowing natural frame-to-frame transitions to take place, which results in ultra smooth motion while maintaining a high resolution. Motion Picture Pro 2 also detects areas with high levels of motion in the picture and activates backlight blinking for those areas alone. This, greatly enhances the resolution.

A huge contrast ratio of 10,000:1 is achieved thanks to the Panasonic TX-37LZD800’s Intelligent Scene Control. The level of detail this offers is stunning even in extremely dark scenes. The IPS Alpha panel used in LCD television has a wide 178 degree viewing angle both horizontally and vertically. This means no matter which angle you watch the TV from you won’t miss out on any of the detail or colour.

You are truly spoilt for choice when it comes to connectors and the 37LZD800 sports no less than 4 HDMI v1.3 connectors for connecting all of you high definition goodies. The v1.3 HDMI specification can accept 1080p/24fps inputs such as that from Blu-ray players.

Something that really sets the TX37LZD800 apart from Panasonic’s other ranges is the addition of Panasonic’s ‘Advanced Smart Sound’ system. This uses a separate tweeter and woofer within the side mounted speakers to produce a much greater range of sounds and clarity than standard single cone speakers can produce.

Another near feature the 37LZD800 has to offer is a Picture-in-Picture function. This allows you to watch two video sources at once. Perfect for those addicted to channel surfing.

As all of Panasonic’s current models of LCD television, the TX-37LZD800 has VIERA Link allowing the easy control of other compatible AV components. By using just one remote control your VIERA Link LCD can communicate with other devices via control signals sent directly through the HDMI cables. This allows you to control all of you compatible devices from a single remote.

The Panasonic TX37LZD800 also has a SD/SDHC memory card slotfor viewing digital photos. Simple take the SD card directly from your camera and place it into the LCD television to enjoy your snaps on the large detailed 37” screen.
