The KDL-32W4000 is a quality HD LCD TV from Sony with a full HD 1920x1080 resolution. The extra pixels available in the resolution make a huge difference when viewing HD content allowing more details are be rendered and colours reproduced more accurately. The 32W4000 includes an integrated digital tuner, so no need for a separate digital freeview box to receive channel broadcasts. The 32W4000 also features a 24p True Cinema mode allowing DVDs to be viewed at the movies original 24 fps. There are 3 HDMI connectors, 2 located at the rear and one on the side of the LCD.

The Sony KDL-32W4000 features a wide-screen full HD LCD Panel with a resolution of 6.2 mega-pixels. If has a Midnight-Sky finish and has been designed to Sony’s new Draw The Line Concept. This means all unnecessary spaces have been removed to ensure your attention is on the screen and not the surrounding.
The KDL-32W4000 has an impressive contrast ration of 33,000:1 when operating in dynamic mode. The 32” 1920x1080 pixel display is powered by Sony’s BRAVIA Engine 2 for outstanding picture quality. The BRAVIA Engine 2 uses a set of noise reduction and image enhancement routines to ensure your picture is smooth, crisp and full of detail in all circumstances. The high contrast ration means all the details are visible even in very dark or bright scenes.
The KDL-32W4000 also features a Picture Frame mode which can transform your LCD TV into a large 32” digital picture frame. When the LCD is not in use you can view one of your own pictures or use on of the pre-installed artistic pictures. You can also use the 32W4000 to browse your digital photos via the USB photo viewer. When movies are filmed they are filmed at 24 frames per second. Most televisions display 25 frames per second. This means when you are watching a DVD you are actually watching it 4% faster than it was recorded. The KDL-32W4000 includes a 240p Cinema feature that allows movies to be played back at the original 24 frames per second as they were intended to be viewed.
Navigating the KDL-32W4000’s menu has been made easy with the addition of the XrossMedia bar. The XMB allows you to browse all of the components connected to your LCD TV and then select which one to watch. You can use the menu to browse channels available from the tuner, or watch a DVD from your DVD player, etc.
There are a number of different sound modes available on the KDL-32W4000 such as Dynamic, BBE ViVA and Virtual Dolby surround sound. The virtual surround sound is achieved by apply tiny time delays and volume changes to certain sounds to trick your ears into thinking the sounds are coming from different directions. This allows the 32W4000 to produce a virtual surround sound using only the two integrated 10W speakers.
The KDL32W4000 offers a total of 3 HDMI connections for connecting high definition AV components. One of the HDMI connectors is located on the side of the unit for easy connection of devices such as camcorders and cameras without having to access the rear of the set. Other connection option include 2 x SCART, a PC input, Component, Composite video in, USB 2,0, RCA Audio out, RF in and PCMCIA Card Slot.
