Like the other LCD televisions in Sony’s new E series the KDL-32E4000 features a unique picture frame design.

This unique picture frame design allows you to turn your LCD TV into your very own work of art with the ‘Picture Frame Mode’. This allows the display of one of the 6 present pictures or one of your own photos when you are not watching TV. This is just like a giant painting or digital photo frame.

The Sony KDL-32E4000 can also be used to view your digital photos. Simple connect your digital SLR camera, Cyber-shot camera or a USB memory stick and view your photos like never before. Use the TV to zoom, edit cyber-shot albums and create your own slideshows. You can ever set the TV’s standby screen to use on of your photos as the background. There is also a Radio Display option where you can listen to radio stations while you browse your photos.

The KDL-32E4000 is a high definition LCD television. Watch television, enjoy movies and play games on the superb 6.2 mega pixel display. High definition looks so much better than standard definition due to the extra detail available. Standard definition televisions have 720x576 pixels they can use to display their picture. High definition televisions have up to 1920x1080 pixels which gives you a much better resolution and finer detail in the picture.

The Sony KDL-32E4000 includes Live Colour Creation technology which offers a 30% wider colour gamut when compared to conventional LCD televisions. This allows the reproduction of much deeper, accurate and life-like colour tones displaying images that are as close to the original source as possible. The 32E4000 also features x.v.Colour which can deliver almost twice the number of colours as the full RGB palette. When watching content with the KDL32E4000 images will appear more realistic, colours deeper and sharper and the way nature intended them to be.

The KDL32E4000 has Sony’s new BRAVIA Engine 2 technology to process the images. Image enhancement technologies used by BRAVIA Engine 2 include noise reduction and an Advanced Contrast Enhancer. The BRAVIA Engine 2 has continued on from the original BRAVIA Engine’s success and included an additional 4 image processing stages. The results are outstanding. Images will appear crisp and clear with life-like colours and tones. Black levels are displayed full and deep without losing and of the details.

The KDL32E4000 has three HDMI connectors to use for connecting all your HD goodies including Blu-ray players, the latest games consoles and other HD items such as HD camcorders. One of the HDMI connectors has been conveniently positioned on the side of the LCD set to provide easy access without having to reach round the back of the LCD television. This is ideal for connecting things temporarily such as cameras and camcorder.

Navigation of the KDL-32E4000’s menu is a doddle thanks to the new easy-to-navigate Xross Media Bar. This allows the browsing all of the TV’s functions and easily access your favourite pictures.


The KDL-32E4000 also includes great features such as Virtual Dolby surround sound and BBE ViVA sound technology, 24p True Cinema mode for watching DVD’s at their original frame rate and BRAVIA Theatre Sync for controlling all of your AV components.

The KDL-32E4000 also has an integrated digital freeview tuner allowing you to receive the range of freeview channels available.
